The Opportunity :

Teladoc Health Canada’s Mental Health Navigator program is a navigational tool to help members on their path to wellness. Services are initiated by members who are seeking assistance to find appropriate mental health resources, and / or confirmation of a diagnosis and treatment plan. The member will have a virtual assessment with a psychologist and / or psychiatrist. Following the evaluation, the member will receive an action plan report with all their information and expert recommendations. The Member Advocate will share and discuss the report with the member and will follow up with them for the next 3 months to ensure they have the appropriate resources, answer any questions, and measure the program impact. The member is encouraged to share the report with their treating care team.

We are currently seeking Mental Health Psychiatrists to join our Teladoc Health Canada team. The Teladoc Health Canada team comprises of a world-class virtual practice of providers with a passion for taking care of people and a devotion to clinical excellence. From family medicine to mental health to specialist medical advice, our providers help millions of Canadians resolve their healthcare needs with confidence through technology & innovation. With our emphasis on medical quality, we place tremendous focus and resources on clinical innovation, standards, and measurement to enable our providers to deliver the best outcome for every patient.

Role and Responsibilities :

• Provide virtual patient care for Teladoc Health members via both video and phone interactions.
• Assess members mental health needs and / or diagnoses, review medical records, and clinical summaries.
• Produce detailed medical / treatment recommendations in a high-quality report.
• Maintain complete and timely medical records.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all federal, provincial and territorial health information privacy laws.

Qualifications :

• Active Canadian MD license in good standing with the Quebec medical regulatory body.
• Board certification in Psychiatry by RCPSC or CMQ, mandatory.
• Over 5 years of experience required (including residency).
• Assist with medication review and a re-review of their medical information to confirm a diagnosis and make recommendations towards treatment plan.
• Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records and computer-based applications.
• Experience working in telehealth / telemedicine preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to produce detailed, high-quality assessment and treatment reports.
• History of strong clinical performance.
• Passionate regarding the delivery of high-quality and safe medical care.
• Bilingual : French / English is required (basic English).
