Large Format Printer Operator

Location: Hwy 7 & Weston (Woodbridge, ON)

Schedule: Full-time (Sunday to Friday), permanent, year-round

Hours: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Pay: Starting at $24/hour, with increases up to $32/hour based on performance.

The Role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Large Format Printer Operator to join our dynamic team and handle the technical and creative aspects of print production.

Your responsibilities will include:

1. Operating and maintaining our laminator, plotter, and large-format printer to produce high-quality materials.
2. Preparing and adjusting graphic files in Adobe Illustrator and other design software for accurate printing and cutting.
3. Laminating, cutting, and finishing printed materials with precision.
4. Performing routine maintenance on equipment to ensure consistent output quality.
5. Collaborating with the team to meet deadlines and exceed client expectations.
6. Maintaining knowledge of current digital best practices, emerging technologies, and trends in large-format printing.

Qualifications

1. Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe InDesign.
2. Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel is considered an asset.
3. Hands-on experience with laminators, plotters, and large-format printers (minimum 2+ years of experience required).
4. Strong attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
5. Knowledge of design principles, including layouts and color management.
6. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
7. High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in graphic design or large-format printing is an asset but not required.
8. Excellent command of English, both written and spoken, with strong communication skills.
9. Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform tasks that require bending, standing, and moving materials throughout the workday.
