About The Role

As a CBRE Landscape Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating landscaping projects, managing teams, interacting with clients, and ensuring projects are completed efficiently and to high standards, while also adhering to safety and environmental regulations.

This job is part of the Property & Facilities Management job function.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide supervision and direction to other landscaping staff as required in achievement of the below roles and responsibilities.
  • Provide horticulture services and maintenance for all grounds and gardens within the landscape area.
  • Trees, Shrubs and Hedges:
    • Trimmed, pruned and/or cut to maintain healthy growth.
    • Substantially free from dead or dying branches.
    • Substantially free from litter.
    • Free from disease and/or infestation.
    • Replaced as and when necessary to maintain appearance.
  • Grassed Areas:
    • Uniform appearance with no dead patches.
    • Edges trimmed.
    • Free from infestation.
    • Substantially free from fallen leaves, weeds, litter and excrement.
    • Maintained to a uniform length of 50 mm.
  • Flower Beds:
    • Fully stocked with an appropriate mix of annual, perennial and display plants to provide aesthetically pleasing beds throughout the year.
    • Substantially free from fallen leaves, weeds and litter.
    • Free from disease and/or infestation.
  • Inspect and maintain the irrigation system including winterization and spring start up.
  • Collect litter and garbage from the landscape and ground areas.
  • Operate hand tools, and equipment associated with ground maintenance, and landscaping.
  • Perform minor maintenance and repair on grounds equipment and tools as required.
  • Keep outdoor furniture and seating spaces clean and in good condition.
  • Ensure landscaping materials and equipment are stored and secured with up-to-date inventory records.
  • Ensure that all areas of responsibility are in compliance with their specific requirements within the health and safety program, including inspection of tools/equipment.
  • Other duties as assigned include assisting building maintenance staff within the facility.
What You’ll Need

  • Three years of landscape/gardening grounds experience;
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English (oral and written).
  • Establish working relationships with staff; provide assistance in the delivery of services.
  • Develop working rapport with suppliers, contractors and external service providers.
  • Maintain positive relations with client through effective communications/customer service.
  • Apply standard operating practices/established processes to perform duties.
  • Provide input to operational decisions by identifying client/facility needs.
  • Work requires utilizing tools and equipment that could cause physical injury if not handled/operated following safety practices/procedures.
  • Physical demands:
  • Exposure to elements - the majority of work outdoors.
  • Lifting requirements - maximum 50 lbs.
  • Repetitive physical effort – stooping, climbing, walking and standing.
  • Subject to noise and heat from equipment.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in Canada without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The salary range being offered for the Landscape Supervisor position is between $26 per hour and $28 per hour. The compensation that is provided to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
