Driver Duties:
- Safe operation of an Isuzu Cab Over (automatic) towing a trailer; and/or safe operation of an automatic Ford Truck towing a trailer.
- Competent and skilled at backing a trailer.
- Delegating staff with tasks, and mentoring new staff.
- Operation of STIHL brand equipment, including our new electric models.
- Experience in hedging, including globing, pyramids, flat and level trimming, small and large shrubs, and Cedars.
- Safe operation with hundreds of hours of experience with HONDA Commercial Mowers.
- Experience with Ride ON Tractors and Zero Turn equipment.
- Experience at prioritizing and being organized for maximum efficiency and time savings.
- Operation of Back Pack Blowers for leaf cleanup and removal.
- Application of Casoran Granular weed control for beds.
- Application of lime and fertilizers for turf on a large scale.
- Application of landscape supplies (Mulch, Soil, etc.), planting seasonal flowers, and watering flowers.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Hand to oversee and coordinate landscape maintenance projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for gardening and landscape management.
Duties:
- Supervise and lead a team of landscape maintenance workers in daily tasks.
- Plan and execute landscape projects, including planting and lawn maintenance.
- Train team members on best practices in landscape maintenance and safety protocols.
- Monitor quality to ensure adherence to company standards.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their landscaping needs.
- Delegate and assign tasks to the crew with optimum efficiency.
Experience:
- Proven experience in landscape maintenance or gardening is essential.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining a positive attitude.
Minimum Requirements:
You MUST have a BC Class 5 License (not an N) and a few years recent experience in the local area doing the same line of work.
