Job Brief

The Transportation Operations department, Engineering Section, is accepting applications for two (2) non-permanent term labourer positions.

LABOURER II – Transportation (Traffic Engineering Section)

As a valued part of our team, you will be involved in a variety of traffic operations related duties. Under the direction of our Traffic & Signage Coordinator, you will have the opportunity to engage in all labour-related aspects of the work! Your duties will include (but are not limited to):

1. Minor repairs and replacement of lights and other parts on electronic message boards
2. Cleaning and organizing traffic stores
3. Assisting in the pavement markings program
4. Assisting in the setup and takedown of temporary traffic control
5. Assisting in the sign shop and installation of signs

WAGE: $23.00 per hour

TERM: Starting on April 30, 2025, for 4 months.

• Bonus Points: Prior related experience in a Transportation Operations environment or outside labourer setting will be an asset.

To Be Considered You MUST:

• Have a high school diploma or equivalent
• Hold a valid, unrestricted Class 5 Operator’s license with no more than 5 demerit points (GDL Licenses will not be considered)
