Brooks laboratory is located within the Brooks Health Care Centre and services this Southern Alberta City as well as its surrounding areas. The location is staffed with a strong team of laboratory professionals that offer strong patient focused service to their community.
As a Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) I, you will be responsible for the daily processing, testing, results analysis and reporting of diagnostic samples within the laboratory department. You will perform a variety of routine and specialized procedures in the processing of specimens used in diagnosis, treatment and research.
Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Alberta (CMLTA).
Additional Required Qualifications:The successful applicant must have a strong sense of teamwork and possess excellent communication skills. Strong technical skills and adaptability is imperative in this position.
Preferred Qualifications:Proficient computer skills with knowledge of Laboratory Information Systems, as well as recent phlebotomy and bench experience is an asset.
