Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Laboratory Technician specializing in Energy Minerals to join our team in Delta, Canada. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting various laboratory tests and analyses on energy mineral samples, ensuring accurate results and maintaining a safe work environment.
- Prepare and analyze energy mineral samples using specialized laboratory equipment and techniques
- Perform quality control checks and maintain accurate records of test results and procedures
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment
- Collect and process data, preparing reports and presentations as needed
- Adhere to and enforce all safety protocols and procedures in the laboratory
- Assist in the development and improvement of testing methods and procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment
- Stay updated on industry standards and regulations related to energy minerals testing
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Geology, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a laboratory setting, preferably in energy minerals or a related field
- Proficiency in operating and maintaining various laboratory equipment
- Strong knowledge of sample preparation and analysis techniques
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
- Solid understanding of laboratory safety protocols and procedures
- Experience with quality control and assurance practices
- Proficient computer skills, including data entry and analysis software
- Knowledge of energy minerals and their properties
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work efficiently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Laboratory safety certification (preferred)
Additional Information
Salary: $21 - $23 per hour
