Job description

The Registered Kinesiologist, under the direction of the Director or Manager of Rehabilitation / Clinical Supervisor, is responsible for completion of professional activities that include: assessment, treatment, education, and management of clients requiring therapeutic intervention, in accordance with professional standards.

Job Qualification

Qualifications - External

  • Registered Kinesiologist in good standing with the College of Kinesiologists of Ontario.
  • Experience in assessment and treatment of clients with various injuries and conditions, including physical, functional, psycho-emotional, and cognitive impairments.
  • Experience in ergonomics, job coaching, job demands analyses, return to work planning, FAE training, and disability management.
  • Experience working in auto insurance, WSIB, and with Employers is an asset.
  • Excellent interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Strong and effective written, oral, and nonverbal communication skills.
  • At least two COVID-19 vaccines.

Clinical Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the assessment of clients, establishment, and ongoing evaluation of treatment programs including job coaching, goal setting, work hardening, and return to work programs.
  • Responsible for completing ergonomic assessments and job demands analyses as requested.
  • Maintains accurate clinical records according to standards set by the College of Kinesiologists of Ontario. Documents assessment results, goals, treatment, client progress, and discharge plans.
  • Collaborates with other members of the health team as needed.
  • Communicates pertinent information and recommendations to clients/care providers and provides education regarding treatment strategies as needed.

Other Responsibilities

  • Remain in good standing with the College of Kinesiologists of Ontario.
  • Participate in ongoing internal and/or external education activities.
  • Adhere to Bayshore Therapy & Rehab Policies and Procedures.
  • Participate in quality activities and continuous improvement initiatives in keeping with the company's Quality Management System.
  • Participate in proactive Health & Safety activities while performing all duties. Responsible to notify immediate Supervisor of any Health & Safety risks or concerns.
  • Maintain confidentiality of client and corporate information and discuss same only with appropriate Bayshore personnel.
  • Complete other tasks as requested.
