Key Account Specialist - Quebec City, Saguenay, Beauce and Eastern Quebec

The Key Account Specialist is responsible for achieving sales targets, based on a sound business plan and sales strategy execution. This role will be to promote Bayer’s first entrant into the ophthalmology field with the launch of a treatment for wet age-related macular degeneration (wAMD), central retina vein occlusion (CRVO) and diabetic macular edema (DME). The Key Account Specialist will develop and implement customer-focused initiatives with a strong entrepreneurial focus and alignment with the go-to-market model.

This is a permanent position and will cover the Quebec City, Saguenay, Beauce and Eastern Quebec.

What you will do:
  1. Analyze business environment and develop territory and center-specific business plans.
  2. Promote ophthalmology product to retina specialists and related HCP stakeholders.
  3. Interact with local patient groups regarding disease area.
  4. Establish superior business relationships with key ophthalmology stakeholders.
  5. Identify and develop strategy for key accounts and stakeholders in assigned territory.
  6. Work collaboratively with medical affairs to deliver valuable clinic programs and projects.
  7. Assist customers with any support needed related to access of Bayer’s ophthalmology product.
  8. Conduct regional CHE and other customer education programs including clinic/staff training and referral audience CHE.
  9. Strategically invest and track corresponding results.
  10. Adhere to all requirements and code of conduct as directed by RX&D and Bayer policy guidelines.

Who you are:
  1. University degree: preference for Science or Business degree.
  2. A minimum of 4 years specialty sales experience. Ophthalmology experience is a strong asset.
  3. Strong business acumen. Able to perform insightful assessment of market and make good judgments and decisions accordingly with entrepreneurial focus.
  4. Ability to effectively convey clinical and scientific information.
  5. Strong key account management, project management, and critical thinking skills.
  6. Strong understanding of retina specialist and injection access, politics and decision making processes.
  7. Superior competencies in relationship building, networking, problem solving, impact and influence.
  8. Excellent customer-service and teamwork orientation.
  9. PC and standard software literacy such as literature searches.
  10. Must be willing to travel throughout assigned territory and other areas as required.
  11. Bilingualism required for Quebec positions.
  12. High level of competencies in efficiency and planning, interpersonal sensitivity, teamwork, tenacity and achievement orientation.
