This person will collaborate with team members from our development locations in Toronto, Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Europe. The role will be responsible for all aspects of the software development life cycle for assigned projects, from specification, technical design, coding, and testing to troubleshooting support. Our product teams work across multiple time zones and countries, using modern scrum and agile development project methods and standards.

Your Impact:

  • Design and develop Microsoft Azure SQL DB, Azure Web Services, Web, and MS Office front-end features using C#, TypeScript, VUE.js, and .NET-based frameworks to deliver a world-class product experience that resonates with financial and accounting-oriented business users.
  • Work daily within application-area-focused teams with product managers, product owners, software architects, UX designers, and quality analysts. Explore new feature requirements and help refine the scope and timing of development, code, test, and demonstrate work progress; plan deployments and deliver releases on a rapid cadence.
  • Build modern technical development skills through projects, self-learning, research, and outside experiences. Be willing to share new advancements, ideas, and approaches with the team.
  • Write specifications and functional tests for features to improve stability and maintainability and assist the QA team with manual and automated test development to prevent regressions in the product.
  • Collaborate in a diverse international team and working environment that is demanding, rewarding, and highly flexible. Maturity, self-discipline, and time management skills are critical. You will be measured and rewarded by contributions and results, not tracked hours and number of meetings attended.

Your Qualifications:

  • Experience and proficiency in several of the following technical stacks: VS Code/VS Enterprise, C#, .NET, VUE.js, Typescript, WPF, MS SQL, REST, HTML5, React, Angular, JavaScript, Java, MS Office Web APIs.
  • Experience with project and code management tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira Align, GitHub, Confluence, and Zendesk for feature planning, CI/CD, bug tracking, and issue management.
  • Experience using deployment tools/technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, Chef, or Puppet is advantageous.
