Our client is a successful and well-established condominium property management company that manages a large portfolio of residential units in the GTA. They are looking to hire an experienced Residential Property Accountant to join their growing team!

About the role:
The Residential Property Accountant will be responsible for organizing the full accounting cycle for a portfolio of real estate properties. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

Responsibilities:

1. Prepare full cycle accounting for a portfolio of condominium buildings, including shared facilities.
2. Prepare monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements and supporting schedules.
3. Month-end journal entries, bank reconciliation, AP, AR, prepare and reconcile recoveries.
4. Oversee A/R and A/P including review cash requirement reports and reconcile tenant statements. Monitor banking deposits and daily balances.
5. Process owner changes and EFT transfers for common element fees.
6. Monitor operational expenses monthly by performing variance analysis.

Qualifications:

1. Minimum of 2 years’ relevant work experience.
2. Experience with Yardi Voyageur S7 would be considered an asset.
3. Excellent customer service and communication skills.
4. Capable of prioritizing work to meet operational timelines with excellent attention to detail.
5. Self-motivated, results oriented, flexible and team player.
