We are hiring a Junior Power Electronics Engineer with a strong background in Power Electronics Hardware design to join the Schneider Electric Solar + Storage team in Richmond, British Columbia, Canada.

What will you do?

  1. Development of Power electronic converters such as isolated DC/DC converters and DC/AC converters.
  2. PCB layout and Prototype testing of converters.
  3. Modeling of converters to speed up the design cycle.
  4. DFMEA, DMA, MTBF analysis of the hardware design.

What qualifications will make you successful for this role?

  1. Undergraduate degree with 2+ years' experience in power electronics and control.
  2. Knowledge of theory and practical design of power converter topologies.
  3. Demonstrated experience in hardware development of power converters (resonant dc-dc converters and inverters) preferably in the solar/storage or electric vehicle space.
  4. PCBA layout and manufacturing experience preferred.
  5. Versatility with various modeling and simulation tools - MATLAB, Python, PLECS, etc.
  6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

The compensation range for this full-time position, which includes base pay and short-term incentive, is $64,000-$96,000 for candidates who are B.C. residents. Our salary ranges are determined by including roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
