Title: Junior Land Analyst
Location: Grande Prairie, Alberta
Canada West Land has an opportunity for individuals driven, adaptable, and engaging to join our team. We are looking for individuals who love an everyday challenge and can juggle multiple tasks.
Our Grande Prairie office is accepting applications for full-time Junior Land Analysts to join our team. Junior Land Analysts are accountable to the Project Manager for error-free, quality-controlled land administration.
Land Analyst roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Land title document preparation, submission, and registration
- Search and review freehold (BC, Alberta) and crown ownership and associated interests, Corp Search
- Survey plan and title review for document generation
- Preparation of required documentation for the acquisition of lands, rights-of-way, crown applications
- Working with the lead and PM on projects for accuracy and timelines
- Support a project team for permits, regulatory applications and third parties.
- Preparation of supporting land documentation such as surface acquisition status reports, landowner line lists, consultation, and notification reports, etc.
- Maintenance of the land database.
- Obtain and manage receipt of third-party consents as part of third-party programs.
- Final package preparation and interest registration
Candidate Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in land administration or relevant experience is considered an asset.
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite of programs including SharePoint, Excel, Outlook
- Detail oriented, focused.
- Knowledge of surface crown agreements, TAKES (road use, crossings, etc.), LETS (road use, crossings, etc.) and crown subleases is an asset.
- Experience in oil and gas, forestry, municipal/government administration, or small business management would be an asset.
- Experience working with survey/construction plans, maps, and legal land descriptions.
- Commitment to a high standard of work and care for client satisfaction
- Able to build and maintain effective working relationships with clients, industry, and other stakeholders.
- Excellent attention to detail, interpersonal and organizational skills
- This is an in-office position with no ability to work from home.
