FNF Canada is an innovative provider of mortgage and loan related services to large and small Canadian lenders. We specialize in facilitating all aspects of mortgage transactions, including title insurance, document processing, property tax management, and appraisal management and valuations services for financial institutions. We are excited to offer this opportunity to join FNF Canada in the role of Junior IT Systems Analyst. Our ideal candidate plays an important role in planning and executing corporate technology goals as well as maintaining and supporting existing applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and maintain application/system documentation and ‘How To’ guides.
  2. Understand and document data flows and system interactions both within the portfolio of products as well as with systems outside of the portfolio.
  3. Work with business stakeholders, external partners, and software development teams to analyze business challenges, design practical and attainable solutions, and prioritize work to maximize the business value delivered by the software development teams.
  4. Remain flexible with multiple shifting priorities and effectively function under deadlines with minimal supervision.
  5. Foster a sense of urgency to achieve goals and leverage resources to overcome unexpected obstacles.
  6. Ensure solutions are designed and developed for enterprise level applications, solving diverse and complex business problems to continuously deliver against their respective goals, objectives, and business case.

Qualifications, Core Competencies, & Skills:

  1. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, able to interpret business requirements and articulate them into models and concepts that plug into bigger scope projects.
  2. Strong written and communication skills, able to present requirements, concepts, and procedures.
  3. Solid organizational and multi-tasking skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  4. Ability to work independently and in a team environment with minimal supervision.
  5. Experience with the use of business analysis practices and tools (e.g. MS Excel Pivot tables, MS Visio).
  6. Project Management experience would be considered an asset; familiarity with Agile is also an asset.
  7. Self-starter, results-oriented and motivated with excellent analytical and technical skills.
  8. A degree in computer science, business management or other related disciplines.
  9. Minimum 2-4 years experience in business analysis, solutions analyst, or a similar technical role.
  10. Experience and familiarity with eliciting and documenting API requirements (REST API, SOAP, XML, JSON) including using tools like Postman.
  11. Experience working with system integrations.
  12. Expertise with full software development life cycle including functional & technical specification, documentation, QA processes, source control, maintenance, and deployments.
  13. Expertise with relational databases and ability to navigate through relational data structure and experience working with SQL.
