The Opportunity

We are currently looking for a driven and highly motivated individual to join our Investments team. As the Junior Investment Analyst, your primary responsibility will be maintaining service standards and providing analytical support to the Investments team. This is a full-time, permanent role based in St. John's, NL.

Your key activities will include:

• Assist in the design and maintenance of investment manager monitoring systems and processes
• Stay abreast of market conditions, economic developments, regulatory changes, investment options, risk management approaches, performance and security analysis, and other techniques and issues affecting the economic and investment decisions of the pension fund
• Maintain, update and validate investment-related systems, and develop reporting from these systems for internal and external stakeholders
• Assist with investment research, recommendation memos, quarterly or annual investment reports and any other ad hoc reports requested
• Assist the investment team with the production of quarterly investment performance reporting, compliance reporting, external communications and the annual audit process related to investments

What you'll bring to the role:

• A post-secondary degree in finance, business administration, economics, commerce, or related field
• Completion of, or progress toward the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation would be considered an asset
• Strong research, analytical and writing skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Salary Range: $63,700 - $88,900
