Job Overview and What We Offer You

The Junior Internal Audit Student will be responsible for providing value added services to internal customers throughout the company. Our approach is to offer training and collaborative solutions to improve the success and profitability of each business unit. The team also provides assurance to senior management regarding the control environment and risk assessment of the organization within an entrepreneurial, multi-location environment.

Note that this is a four-month co-op placement from January to April 2025.

How you Contribute to Noble's Success

  1. Carry out financial, operational, and compliance audit duties such as: evaluating internal controls, applying professional audit techniques, preparing audit work papers, developing solutions, and documenting findings.
  2. Provide assistance to senior auditor and internal auditor as assigned by the manager of Internal Audit in effectively performing daily operations.
  3. Under the supervision of the manager of internal audit, provide relevant information under review such as findings and recommendations to organization’s management.
  4. Provide assistance to senior auditor and internal auditor as requested by the manager of internal audit to enable effective execution of various reviews, including audit tasks, inventory, Compliance, and other Ad hoc activities.
  5. Help in coordinating assignments with the senior auditor.
  6. Execute other duties that the management may assign.

WHAT YOU HAVE:

  1. Strong analytical skills – identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner, gathers and analyzes information proficiently, and develops alternative solutions.
  2. Ability to manage tight monthly deadlines and deliver high quality work.
  3. Demonstrated interpersonal, problem solving, and communication skills to effectively build a positive relationship with team members.
  4. Self-starter who is able to take initiative and work well independently.
  5. Organized, detail-oriented, good time management skills, and able to balance multiple priorities effectively.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Must be enrolled in an Accounting, Finance, Math or other such comparable program.
  2. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  3. Working towards CIA or CPA designation is an asset.
