Junior Interior Designer

We are an international award-winning interior design firm located in the Broadway/Kits area, seeking a talented Junior Interior Designer to fill a 3-month contract position from January 2024 to March 2024 that may result in a full-time position. We appreciate all applicants, but only selected qualified individuals will be contacted for an interview and testing.

Qualifications, Education & Experience:

• Recent graduates from design school eager to start a career in hospitality design (hotels, restaurants, and senior living facilities).
• Post-secondary diploma or degree in Interior Design from a recognized institution.
• Proficiency in design software such as Photoshop, InDesign, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam. Knowledge of Revit is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft programs: Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Must have Canadian experience with local vendor knowledge.
• Spexx program knowledge is an asset.

• Strong understanding of concept creation and detailed construction drawings.
• Comfortable working with materials and assisting with ordering samples.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and transition smoothly between projects.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
• Experience in material and specification writing is an asset.
• Comfortable presenting to team members and clients.
• Must be legally able to work in Canada and fluent in both spoken and written English.

Salary and Benefits:

• Salary: Varies depending on experience.

Pay: $28.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 38 per week
