As a Junior Foreign Exchange (FX) Structurer, you will be responsible for ensuring clients across Canada receive the most suitable FX solutions. Working as part of the FX structuring team, you will:

Responsibilities:

  1. Comprehensive FX Exposure Analysis: Conduct thorough analyses of clients' FX exposures and existing hedging strategies, accurately assessing their risk profiles within the context of the Canadian market's specific economic and regulatory environment.
  2. Tailored FX Risk Management Solutions: Design and implement bespoke FX risk management solutions, incorporating a deep understanding of clients' business operations, industry-specific challenges, and the nuances of Canadian market dynamics.
  3. Advanced Derivative Pricing and Structuring: Utilise sophisticated pricing models to accurately value a wide range of FX derivatives, from vanilla options to complex exotic structures. Develop compelling proposals for customised FX structured products, considering the unique needs and risk tolerances of Canadian clients.
  4. Strategic Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with front office teams, FX dealing, and FX sales professionals across Canada, providing expert insights and support to ensure the seamless delivery of exceptional FX products and services.
  5. Proactive Market Strategy Development: Generate innovative and market-driven trade ideas, recommending strategic pricing and structuring approaches for complex FX derivative products, with a keen focus on opportunities and risks within the Canadian financial landscape.
  6. Precise and Efficient Trade Execution: Execute complex FX hedges with accuracy and efficiency, ensuring optimal outcomes for clients while adhering to all regulatory and compliance standards.
  7. Knowledge Transfer and Team Empowerment: Conduct comprehensive training and education sessions for FX Sales and FX Dealing teams, equipping them with the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively communicate and implement structured product strategies and pricing.
  8. Maintain strong market awareness: Keeping up to date with the changes in the Canadian and Global markets, and how they affect FX.

You

  1. Exceptional Analytical and Problem-Solving Abilities: Demonstrate a proven track record of dissecting complex financial scenarios, identifying key drivers, and developing effective solutions through rigorous analytical and problem-solving skills.
  2. Strong Quantitative Foundation: Possess an MSc or BA in a quantitative field such as finance, financial engineering, econometrics, or financial mathematics, providing a solid theoretical and practical understanding of financial markets and instruments.
  3. Deep Understanding of FX Markets: Exhibit a strong understanding and keen interest in the pricing dynamics of FX Spot, Swaps, NDFs, and Options, with a desire to expand your expertise in more complex derivative structures.
  4. Advanced Modelling and Risk Management Skills: Demonstrate proficiency in financial modelling, including the ability to develop and implement scenario analysis and stress testing frameworks to assess and mitigate FX risk.
  5. Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Possess strong English language skills, both written and verbal, enabling clear and effective communication with clients and internal stakeholders. French is a significant asset, reflecting Ebury's global presence.
  6. Local Market Expertise and Presence: Be based in Toronto, allowing for seamless integration into the Canadian financial market and fostering strong relationships with local clients.
  7. Driven, Passionate, and Results-Oriented: Demonstrate a strong work ethic, a proactive attitude, and a genuine passion for contributing to Ebury's continued growth and success in the competitive FinTech landscape.
  8. Technical Proficiency: Possess advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting, with Python programming proficiency considered a valuable asset for developing and implementing quantitative models.
  9. Eagerness to learn: Must be willing to learn, and keep up with the fast pace of the FX market.
