Explore your next role:
As a key member of our Engineering team, Junior Engineer, Avionics Systems (EIT) will assist in engineering drawings, systems drawings and STC application preparations. In addition, the successful candidate will provide technical support to the Aircraft Maintenance Engineers.
Your responsibilities:
- Interpret regulatory guidance to develop engineering data that supports minor or major repairs and modifications for customer aircraft.
- Prepare and assist in the execution of Test Plans.
- Assist with development of Certification Plans and perform Safety Analysis (FMEA, FHA, SSSA).
- Develop detailed designs, including identification of appropriate materials and joint methods as engineering drawings using CAD.
- Review and develop any Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICA) or additional maintenance inspection requirements as they relate to modifications or repairs being completed.
- Acquire appropriate vendor data (appliance approval, burn certificates, etc.) in support of engineering project approval.
Your Distinctive Ingredients for Success:
- Bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering discipline with a focus on systems.
- Experience with system integration and test considered an asset.
- Knowledge of Transport Canada Civil Aviation Regulatory Certification requirements considered an asset.
- Eligibility for registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.).
- Knowledge of electrical or avionics systems.
- Ability to work collaboratively as well as independently with minimal guidance from senior engineers.
You must be legally eligible to work for a Canadian company (e.g., be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident of Canada, or possess a valid work permit) and provide a clear Criminal Background Check.
