Job Summary
A Brief OverviewThe Information Technology Services department is excited to invite motivated individuals to apply for the position of Junior Business Analyst. In this role, the successful candidate will play a vital part by collaborating with internal business partners to identify and interpret business needs and problems. After gathering the information, the incumbent will assist with researching current and new and innovative technology solutions and processes to help teams meet their needs or solve issues. The position falls within the Strategy and Partnerships Directorate and will report to the Assistant Director, Business Relationships.
This position provides expertise to aid in the planning, design and development of technical resources. This position translates business requirements into an implementation plan with clients and members of the team. This position updates project managers, sponsors of progress towards objectives, and ensures issues are logged and resolved.

Job Description
What you will do- Reviews and edits business requirements and processes and provides regular updates to project managers and client groups.
- Conducts research, develops detailed queries, and addresses information systems changes and business process improvements.
- Recommends system and business process improvements on information system and business process issues.
- Ensures issues are identified, tracked, reported and resolved in a timely manner.
- Coordinates and develops training content and supports the coordination and/or delivery of training.
- Assesses training needs, learning gaps and program risks.
- Provides user support, and 3rd level help desk support.
- Ensures updates and changes to any application configurations meet change management and security specifications.
- Other duties as required in support of the department and/or unit.
Required Education
- Three-year Community College Diploma or Three-Year Bachelor Degree, or equivalent. In addition, requires trade certification, qualification, or on-going learning to remain ahead of changes in technology or emerging fields.
Required Experience
- More than 3 years and up to and including 5 years of experience.
- Experience with assessing emerging trends, technologies, electronic platforms and potential digital business opportunities considered an asset (e.g., social media, etc.).
- Experience in cloud computing environment considered an asset (e.g., Platform-as-a-service (PAAS), Infrastructure-as-a-service (IAAS), Software-as-a-service (SAAS), etc.).
- Experience with designing and implementing solutions leveraging Microsoft 365 applications and services, such as SharePoint Online, Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams and Teams Voice, and Power Platform components considered an asset.
- Experience with software and web technologies considered an asset (e.g., ServiceNow, Customer Relationship Management (CRM), other software packaging, etc.).
- Consideration may be given to an equivalent combination of education and experience.
