WHO YOU ARE

As a passionate and energetic Accounting & Finance professional, you have a bit of experience under your belt through various co-op or other work experience, and you're looking for a place to expand your responsibility. Your previous colleagues might describe you as a "Jonas whiz", since you're a super user in the system. As you work towards your CPA (or equivalent) designation, you are excited for the chance to work across the entire finance function in a generalist role.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Prepare journal entries for review of the general accountant
• Complete daily bookkeeping duties
• Support reconciliations across inter-company bank accounts and credit cards
• Create and update financial reports
• Provide backup support to colleagues in AP, AR, payroll and general accounting
• Support special projects and ad-hoc requests for the finance team
• Collaborate with the finance team and leadership to support system enhancements and process improvements

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

• A minimum of one year of experience in Accounting
• A minimum of one year of experience using Jonas Construction software
• University degree in Accounting or Finance
• Pursuing your ACCA/CPA (or equivalent) designation
