Position Description:

E360S currently has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our finance team in London, ON. The focus of the role will be maintaining the accounting records at the divisional level and assisting in timely and accurate financial reporting and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Maintain the integrity and timeliness of the underlying accounting records for multiple Business Units
2. Assist with coverage of accounts receivable and accounts payable as required
3. Assist with other daily and weekly financial requirements as assigned
4. Perform required month end reconciliations and prepare corresponding documentation for approval and processing. Types of reconciliations include but are not limited to, bank reconciliations, petty cash reconciliation, accounts receivable ledgers and related accruals, accounts payable ledgers and related accruals, intercompany reconciliations
5. Ensure the financial and accounting policies and programs are followed and comply with generally accepted accounting principles
6. Other duties and projects may be assigned

Qualifications:

1. Demonstrable understanding of full cycle accounting
2. 2-4 years’ experience in accounting
3. Post-secondary education in accounting or business preferred
4. Experience with Sage 300 is preferred
5. Experience in the sanitation industry would be considered an asset
6. Strong computer skills in all office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel)
7. Exceptional communication and organizational skills
8. High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
9. Proven ability to work independently while being a team player
