Job Description

1. Creation of design drawings from preliminary to construction stages
2. Creation of 3D renderings accurately reflecting design criteria and client requests
3. Analyzation of building codes, by-law information, space requirements, site requirements, and other technical documents
4. Preparation of drawings from conceptual sketches and instructions
5. Coordination with Project Leads at each stage of a project’s development
6. Coordination with various engineer and consultant teams to deliver complete drawing packages
7. Preparation of design presentations for client approval, containing a mix of drawings and 3D renderings
8. Attending meetings with clients and consultants as required for each project and document meeting notes that accurately reflect decisions and direction arising from a discussion
9. Adhere to all company policies and procedures

Requirements

1. Architectural Technology diploma or equivalent
2. Availability Monday-Friday, occasional Saturday
3. Minimum of 40 hours per week, must be flexible and willing to work overtime
4. Proficiency in Revit, SketchUp, and Microsoft Office
5. Strong 3D rendering skills for presentations
6. Knowledge of Alberta Building Code/British Columbia Building Code/National Building Code
7. Effective verbal and written communication skills
8. Local or willing to relocate to Central Alberta

Assets

1. Experience in designing commercial, industrial, office, agricultural, and multi-residential projects
2. Experience with rendering in Enscape
3. Related experience in the construction industry
4. An understanding of precast concrete construction
5. Valid Class 5 driver’s license and reliable transportation
