SSR Mining – Seabee Gold Operation is hiring for a Carpenter.

About Your New Role:

Reporting to the Supervisor, Maintenance, the Carpenter will be responsible for construction projects on site, including the construction and renovation of onsite buildings.

Your Key Responsibilities:

1. Maintain inventory of construction supplies, cement, and tools.
2. Erect new buildings and perform maintenance and renovations on existing buildings.
3. Complete projects within the allotted time frame.
4. Maintain a clean and safe work area.
5. Ensure all work is done in a safe and efficient manner.
6. Operate light equipment on site (Hiab & Forklift).
7. Perform other duties as required.

Your Knowledge and Skills:

1. Able to communicate, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of staff, including technical, professional, and management.
2. Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills.
3. Positive and proactive attitude towards safety.

Your Education and Experience:

1. Journeyperson license in carpentry.
2. Minimum 2-3 years’ experience.
3. Completed Grade 12 or equivalent.

About Our Working Conditions:

This position has a schedule of two (2) weeks on, two (2) weeks off at our remote camp in northern Saskatchewan, working 11-hour days with possibility of unscheduled overtime required on occasion. You will be required to fly in fly out of the site on designated days from a pick-up point in either Saskatoon, Prince Albert or La Ronge.
