Journeyman/Woman Mason

Education: Registered Apprenticeship certificate.

Work setting: Construction, Renovation.

Responsibilities

Tasks

• Prepare and lay bricks, concrete blocks, structural tiles or other masonry units.
• Lay bricks, stone or similar materials to provide veneer facing.
• Construct and install prefabricated masonry units.
• Cut and trim bricks and concrete blocks to specification using hand and power tools.

Credentials

Certificates, Licences, Memberships, and Courses

• Bricklayer Trade Certification.

Transportation/Travel Information

• Valid driver's licence.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

• Physically demanding.
• Handling heavy loads.
• Standing for extended periods.
• Bending, crouching, kneeling.

Own Tools/Equipment

• Steel-toed safety boots.
• Hard hat.

Personal Suitability

• Efficient interpersonal skills.
• Reliability.
• Team player.

Experience

3 years to less than 5 years.

Location

Montréal, QC

Salary

$46.00 to $52.00 per hour (To be negotiated) / 30 to 40 hours per week.

Terms of Employment

Permanent employment, Full-time, Early Morning, Starts as soon as possible.
