THE ROLE :

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Journeyman Millwright is responsible for installing, repairing and maintaining complex machinery and equipment at the Country Ribbon processing plant.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Troubleshooting, installing, inspecting, repairing and overhauling industrial machinery and equipment
• Fabrication and repair of parts and key components used in processing equipment
• Reading and interpreting blueprints to determine work procedures
• Calculating job material requirements and sketching drawings
• Cleaning, lubricating and performing other routine maintenance of machinery and keeping accurate logs of this activity
• Using welding, cutting and other types of equipment, precision measuring tools and machinery and mechanical tools to fabricate and repair parts and equipment
• Identifying, inspecting and repairing hydraulic pneumatic systems and components
• Completing work orders and all repairs and preparing clean up sheets and hold tags for cleaners and requisitioning parts
• Assembling and disassembling production machinery to ensure proper cleaning
• Completing all required preventive maintenance duties
• Performing other related duties as assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTS :

• High school diploma supplemented by a Journeyman Millwright Certificate
• Relevant work experience as a Millwright
• Experience working in extreme environments, cold or hot, small or awkward spaces and may have to lift up to 45 kg
• Ability to work within divisional or project teams
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, listening, oral, written and presentation skills
