Journeyman Gas fitter (Class A or B)

• Install, maintain, and service natural gas and propane systems, appliances, and heating equipment (e.g., boilers, furnaces, water heaters, fireplaces) in residential and commercial settings.
• Perform new gas line installations, upgrades, retrofits, and modifications in coordination with plumbing and HVAC installations.
• Diagnose and repair gas system issues, including leaks, ignition failures, burner malfunctions, and pressure irregularities, ensuring efficient and safe operation.
• Conduct comprehensive testing, including leak detection, pressure testing, combustion analysis, and system safety checks.
• Work collaboratively with plumbers, HVAC technicians, and other tradespeople to deliver integrated, high-quality solutions on construction sites and service calls.
• Maintain accurate job records, service reports, and inventory logs in accordance with company procedures.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with customers, explaining work performed and providing expert guidance on system care and maintenance.
• Follow company safety protocols and ensure compliance with all relevant gas codes, health regulations, and industry standards.

Requirements

• Red Seal Certification in Gas Fitting (Mandatory)
• Valid BC Class 5 driver’s license
• Strong understanding of safety codes and industry best practices
• Experience in both residential and commercial gas fitting preferred
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Professional, customer-focused attitude
• Competitive hourly wage : $40–$50 / hour (based on experience and certification)
