What you will do:
The Job Coach supports clients with various barriers to improve employability skills and develop their ability to seek, secure, and maintain a job. This position will support youth within our Employ program as well as clients who access our Resource Centre. The Job Coach actively markets our programs, assessing the needs of job seekers and businesses, developing relationships with employers, and networking with key stakeholders. You are responsible for assisting in the creation of opportunities between clients and employers. Within the Resource Centre, you are the first point of contact for new and returning clients, and the Job Coach is responsible for welcoming, orienting, and supporting these individuals.
Extensive knowledge of other local service providers is key to ensuring the holistic needs of each participant. The position requires social perceptivity, critical thinking, and the ability to develop strong rapport, assess needs, plan and implement strategies to assist in a successful job search.
