1. Co-ordinate special events

3. Plan menus and estimate food requirements for their realization
4. Requisition food and kitchen supplies
5. Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
6. Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
7. Inspect kitchens and food service areas
8. Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
9. Order supplies and equipment
10. Supervise kitchen staff and helpers
11. Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
12. Clean kitchen and work areas
13. Recruit and hire staff
14. Manage kitchen operations
