Description
We are seeking a personable, friendly, and outgoing Training & Process Support Analyst to join the IT team of this well-regarded Yorkshire professional services firm. This is a people-facing role, ideal for someone who enjoys helping others, building confidence in technology and internal processes, and supporting positive change.
This is not a traditional IT trainer role. As well as delivering engaging training sessions, you'll support the rollout of new technology and processes, help identify where best practice is not being followed, and act as a key point of contact for business process support across departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver tailored training sessions on IT systems, legal applications, and internal processes, both one-to-one and in group settings.
- Develop and maintain clear, user-friendly documentation and guides for legal teams and support staff.
- Support departments with process-related queries, offering guidance and troubleshooting where process gaps or inefficiencies are identified.
- Work with Heads of Department to understand team workflows and support adoption of best practice.
- Provide light-touch second-line support where queries relate to how systems or processes should be used, rather than purely technical faults.
- Play an active role in IT and business project rollouts - coordinating training schedules, helping to manage change, and supporting user adoption.
- Support onboarding of new joiners with introductory training on core systems and firmwide processes.
- Monitor system and process usage to proactively identify training needs or areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with the wider IT and Compliance teams to ensure policies and procedures are consistently applied and obtain feedback from team members across the business regarding IT systems and internal processes.
- Hands-on IT support, helping people with internal systems and resolving queries as they arise.
- Develop 'super users' across the firm.
Skills and Experience
- Experience delivering training and/or onboarding in a professional services environment - ideally in legal, but not essential.
- Strong understanding of business processes and a methodical approach to identifying gaps, inefficiencies or non-compliance with procedures.
- Comfortable supporting users with questions related to 'how to use' systems and processes - not just the technical aspects.
- Excellent interpersonal skills - friendly, approachable, and confident engaging with users at all levels of the firm.
- Experience supporting change initiatives or technology rollouts is desirable.
- Good organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to the needs of different departments.
- Familiarity with common legal software (e.g. case management, document management, time recording) is beneficial but not essential.
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset and a genuine enthusiasm for helping people improve the way they work.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to simplify technical concepts easily.
- A good level of competence of MS Office is essential.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
You'll join a well-established, friendly IT team in a respected mid-sized law firm. This is a varied role where you'll be encouraged to take ownership, contribute to firmwide initiatives, and make a meaningful impact on how technology and processes support legal service delivery.
