It technician level 1-2 (3-month renewable contract)

Today, I am recruiting for one of my great clients located in downtown Montreal, an IT technician on a 3-month contract with the possibility of an extension and becoming permanent. The position is mainly on-site and requires occasional travel as needed.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide first and second level support for incidents reported by users, concerning the office and telephone environment.
2. Respond to service requests and provide support to technicians in the management of the office and telephone environment.
3. Analyze incidents, identify problems, and propose solutions to resolve them.
4. Train users on new technologies and IT developments.
5. Propose fixes and improve existing documents and procedures.
6. Coordinate the inventory of IT equipment (computers, mobile phones, tablets).
7. Collaborate with team members and the IT manager to identify improvement opportunities and propose fixes in terms of support, procedures, and management of the office environment.
8. Provide support to the network administrator in the accomplishment of his tasks.
9. Carry out, if necessary, any other related tasks.

Minimum Requirements:

1. College diploma in office automation or IT technology.
2. At least three (3) years of relevant experience in office and IT support within an IT department.
3. Excellent experience with the Windows 10 operating system.
4. Excellent experience in Office administration, including the 365 cloud version.
5. Experience with Active Directory.
6. Knowledge of the Microsoft cloud environment (OneDrive, Azure AD, etc.) is an asset.
7. Knowledge of TCP/IP networking, DNS is an asset.
8. Interpersonal communication skills.
