IT TECHNICIAN / NOC TECHNICIAN

We are currently accepting applications for an experienced and dedicated IT TECHNICIAN to join the Vincent Communications Team. Reporting directly to the Network Operations Division Manager, this position is based out of our Grande Prairie, AB office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to and resolve all employee requests regarding in-house IT issues across all VCCL locations.
  • Document support requests in ticketing system.
  • Ensure that computers, printers, phones, local networks, TVs, peripherals etc. are labeled, maintained, and deployed.
  • Apply updates to software and firmware for in-house equipment to minimize disruptions to employees.
  • Order additional equipment and supplies as needed.
  • Serve as a single point of contact for in-house technology managed by third parties.
  • Engage third-party vendors for support, licensing, and Return Material Authorizations (RMAs).
  • Maintain inventory of employee-related technology equipment (keyboards, mice, laptops, docking stations, monitors, phones, etc.)
  • Implement the policies for the use of computers and related equipment.
  • Set up, maintain, and administer security policies for employee permissions and user accounts.
  • Setup, maintain, and administer SharePoint security policies and permissions.
  • Setup, maintain, and administer multiple cellular plans, SIMs, and hardware.
  • Coordinate with the Server Administrator.

Required Experience and Education:

  • A technology degree or diploma is an asset.

Required Skills:

  • Understanding of Proxmox and SharePoint is an asset.
  • Basic understanding of network architecture fundamentals.
  • Must be physically fit and be able to lift 30 lbs safely.
  • Basic understanding and safe use of hand tools.
  • Strong English communication skills with the proven ability to communicate with respect and professionalism.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and use of good judgment in response to unexpected problems.
  • Reliable and dependable.

  • Schedule: Monday - Friday, rotating on-call schedule.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
