Enrich is looking for an experienced IT Technical Systems Administrator.

The Role:
As a member of our Technical Team, you will be responsible for supporting our production and disaster recovery configurations on the IBM Power hardware, including IBM PowerVM for fully virtualized IBM i and Linux partitions. You will manage two identical IBM Power Server stacks configured with up-to-the-second IBM Global Mirror SAN replication software, ensuring 24x7 data availability.
You will also provide administration and support for tenant environments within our SaaS, as well as our internal network and laptops and related hardware.
Key Responsibilities:
- Configure and optimize IBM Power hardware to support production and disaster recovery configurations, ensuring seamless integration with IBM PowerVM for virtualized partitions.
- Configure and maintain IBM Global Mirror SAN replication software on two identical IBM Power 10 Servers, ensuring up-to-the-second data replication for disaster recovery purposes.
- Maintain health and configuration of systems, including storage performance on the V7000 SAN, identify bottlenecks, recommend, and implement performance tuning measures to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Maintain backup and disaster recovery plans and procedures. IBM i data is backed up using BRMS, while Linux data is backed up using Storix Backup software.
- Perform backup and recovery operations, tape handling and movement between data centres as needed.
- Maintain security measures to protect IBM Power Systems, virtualized partitions, and data stored on the SAN from unauthorized access, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Investigate and troubleshoot issues reported through our technical service tickets, diagnose root causes, and implement corrective actions to resolve problems in a timely manner.
- Evaluate, recommend, and install software patches, updates, and upgrades to IBM Power Systems, virtualized partitions, and associated software components.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of system configurations, storage configurations, backup and disaster recovery procedures, and security policies.
About You:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in administering IBM Power Systems, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Strong knowledge of IBM Power hardware, including experience with the IBM Power 8, 9, or 10 hardware and IBM PowerVM.
- Experience with SAN replication software, particularly IBM Global Mirror, for disaster recovery purposes.
- Strong proficiency in IBM i (OS/400) operating system administration and familiarity with IBM BRMS for IBM i backup.
- Familiarity with Linux administration and backup software, preferably Storix Backup.
- Experience with storage administration and SAN technologies, particularly with the IBM V7000 SAN.
- Strong understanding of backup and disaster recovery concepts and best practices.
- Familiarity with security best practices and tools for IBM Power Systems and storage environments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., IBM Certified System Administrator - IBM i) are a plus.
- Located in Calgary, and able to drive between data centres, office, home office and tape storage facilities.
