The System Administrator’s role is to ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of both on-premises and cloud infrastructure that supports our organization. This involves actively monitoring, maintaining, and optimizing all networked software and associated operating systems. The Systems Administrator will leverage proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to identify, communicate, and resolve issues, maximizing the benefits of our IT infrastructure.

Responsibilities
Gauge the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and associated processes; develop and implement strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems.
Design and deploy new systems, applications and/or enhancements to existing applications, software, and operating systems.
Conduct research on software and systems products as required.
Collaborate with the other IT staff to ensure smooth and reliable operation of software and systems for fulfilling business objectives and processes.
Resolve hosted services issues and take ownership of cross-functional problems, ensuring compliance with SLA’s.
Create and maintain documentation as it relates to system configuration, mapping, processes, and service records.
Evaluate documented resolutions and analyze trends for ways to prevent future problem occurrences.
Manage network servers, appliances, and technology tools.
Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements.
Ensure security through appropriate access controls, backups, and firewalls.
Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies.
Contribute to the planning and implementation of multiple projects.
Knowledge & Experience
Active Directory (Site Topology, DNS, AD Design Skills) Consolidation of Active Directory Forests and domains.
Windows Infrastructure and Domain Administration: DNS, DHCP, Account Management, Group Policy.
VMware VCenter & ESXi (UCS experience is also considered an asset).
AIX 7+, Windows Server 2012 and above, RHEL, Oracle Linux 9.
SQL Server, Active Directory, ADaudit, BIND, CUPS.
