IT Systems Administrator
We are seeking a permanent full-time IT Systems Administrator based out of Saskatoon to join our team. Reporting to the Director, Operations, the successful candidate will be responsible for establishing, configuring, and maintaining critical infrastructure components, in both cloud and on-premises environments, to support the organization. The position will ensure seamless performance of our IT systems, monitor cyber security risk, oversee lifecycle processes, and provide top-tier support for current and future applications.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design and manage critical platform building blocks that support the entire organization, including cloud and on-premises systems, devices, and components (e.g., server, storage, virtualization, operating systems)
- Lead lifecycle management of infrastructure components, ensuring high availability and system resilience
- Develop and implement strategies for complex integrations between platforms to enhance IT systems and applications
- Monitor and administer management systems, including performance and security compliance to ensure the health and performance of provisioned building blocks
- Contribute to disaster recovery planning and execute escalated technical resolutions, ensuring continuity of services
- Stay current with emerging technologies that drive efficiency and support diverse user needs
- Develop and manage budgets, troubleshoot challenges, and mitigate risks in technical project delivery
- Manage and configure Microsoft ENTRA (formerly Azure AD) for identity and access management
- Administer and optimize Microsoft InTune for mobile device management (MDM) and endpoint security
- Oversee and maintain the organization’s network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls
- Implement and troubleshoot network configurations (VLANs, VPNs, wireless) to ensure optimal performance and security
- Provide technical support to users, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network-related issues
- Collaborate with other IT staff/contractors to improve system functionality and security policies
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Certificate, degree, or related experience in systems administration or related field
- Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in systems administration or a related field
- Certification in ITIL and Organizational Change (PROSCI, AMPG)
- Experience with Microsoft ENTRA and InTune in a live environment
- Strong knowledge of network management and administration
- CCNA certification (or equivalent experience) is highly desirable
- Solid understanding of security protocols and best practices
- Experience with PowerShell or other scripting languages (Python) for system automation
- Familiarity with other Microsoft 365 services (SharePoint, Teams, etc.)
- Knowledge of commercially available document management, project management system(s) and engineering and design software are considered an assist
