We have a rare hybrid work opportunity for a full-time IT Support Technician working both from home and from our downtown Montreal office.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Install and configure computer hardware, operating systems and applications
- Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks
- Troubleshoot system and network problems, hardware and software faults, correcting and replacing parts as needed
- Provide remote support via phone, email and remote diagnostics tools
- Manage and setup Active Directory users, Exchange users, and VPN users
- Create and manage service requests and document reported issues using JIRA Service Desk, ensuring timely resolution to user satisfaction
- Create and maintain documentation for software installation, configuration and support procedures
- Assist with supporting Microsoft Windows servers and applications, including Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory, application servers and file servers
- Some travel to remote offices may be required
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in IT operations and/or a combination of education, training and co-op experience
- Thorough understanding of Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, Server Operating Systems, Microsoft Office Suite, Office 365, VMware, JIRA Service Desk, Bomgar and video conferencing applications
- Solid experience with PC hardware, SonicWall, Aruba wireless networking, Aruba and Dell switches, Mitel phones, mobile phones, HP printers and MFP devices
- Degree or diploma in Information Technology
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Bilingual (English/French)
- Ability to work collaboratively on IT projects with multidisciplinary team members
- Demonstrated success delivering seamless customer service to both internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and contribute actively to team objectives
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to integrate sustainability into IT operations
- Accountability and responsibility for actions and decisions
