IT Support in Stoney Creek | $55k-$60k/annually (2024-11-14)

IS2 Burlington is seeking a full-time IT Support person for a client based in Stoney Creek, ON. You will be responsible for maintaining vital systems and ensuring necessary equipment is operating at full capabilities at all times, for all locations. Confidentiality, ethics and professionalism to all employees, Executive Managers and Supervisory personnel is essential. Must be able to work collaboratively with other employees and prioritize duties.

This position requires travel to other locations as needed, so a valid driver's license is required.

Job Duties Include (but not limited to):

1. Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, printers and other devices.
2. Repairing and replacing equipment as necessary.
3. Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks, ensuring all electronic equipment is functioning correctly.
4. Provide technical support across the company.
5. Continually look for ways to improve daily operations from a data/digital perspective.
6. Responsible for following process related instructions, procedures, and requirements.
7. Adheres to all Health & Safety Rules and Regulations.
8. Be professional towards Employees, Customers and External Providers.
9. Be part of a work environment that promotes success, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Requirements and Qualifications:

1. University Degree or College Diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Technology or related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and relevant business experience.
2. One or more of the following certifications completed or in process: Cisco CCNP, Microsoft MCSE.
3. Two years’ experience working in network design, implementation, administration, and support.
4. General working knowledge of:

• SQL and reporting tools such as DundasBI, PowerBI or Sisense.
• Networking systems (DNS, WINS, Active Directory), protocols, and standards such as Ethernet, LAN, WAN, VoIP, VPN, TCP/IP.
• Client/server and operating systems, including Windows Operating System (Windows 10, Server 2012/2016), and working knowledge of Linux and DNS, WINS, Active Directory (LDAP).

Pay Rate: $55k-$60K
