The IT Security Architect is responsible for designing secure IT infrastructure solutions that align seamlessly with our strategic business objectives and rigorous compliance demands. This role will be critical in ensuring that our IT systems are robust, scalable, and fortified against the dynamic spectrum of cyber threats. This role will also be in charge of producing comprehensive documentation and maintaining meticulous records of our security architectures and processes, and will be a key player in establishing a secure, resilient IT environment that not only supports our mission but also drives our business growth.
What you will do:
Develop and maintain a comprehensive and secure architecture for our IT and cloud environments, ensuring a secure, resilient, and scalable framework.
Identify and assess security risks associated with the IT and cloud infrastructure. Develop and implement strategies to mitigate these risks.
Ensure that all IT and cloud solutions comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements such as ISO, GDPR, NIST, etc.
Work closely with Enterprise Architecture, IT development, and operations teams to integrate security practices into the IT infrastructure and cloud deployments.
Stay abreast of the latest trends and advancements in IT and cloud security technologies and practices.
Collaborate with software development teams to embed security best practices in application design and deployment processes.
Oversee the mapping of data flows within the organization, identifying critical data and ensuring it is securely managed and protected.
What you will bring:
Proven experience as an IT Architect and/or Cloud Security Architect.
Strong understanding of cloud computing technologies and services, particularly with providers such as AWS, Azure.
Expertise in network security, system security, and cloud security best practices.
Familiarity with compliance frameworks and industry standards.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and collaboration abilities, with a particular emphasis on working effectively with enterprise architecture teams and software developers.
Ability to understand and articulate the impact of security decisions on the broader business and IT environment.
Experience with DevSecOps practices and tools.
Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies like Kubernetes.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment, building strong relationships with enterprise architects, developers, and other key stakeholders.
Expert in Visio and technical documentation.
Education and qualifications:
Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, etc.
