Senior IT Security Analyst – Cybersecurity Risk Management and Metrics

Location Address: Hybrid - Toronto – 1/week

Contract Duration: 6 months with high possibility of Extension

Business group: Security Analytics – team helps develop and design metrics, as well as present and make strategic advisory comments on metrics, focusing on tech and cybersecurity risks; provides and comments on data to leadership to make effective and valuable decisions that help towards risk management goals of cyber and tech at the Bank.

Project: To support FRB (Federal Reserve Bank) and Promontory remediation efforts – contractor will be developing and presenting metrics based on KRIs within tech and cybersecurity space.

Must Have Skills:

1. 8+ years of experience as an IT Security Analyst
2. 2+ years’ experience with technology and/or cybersecurity risk management
3. 2+ years’ experience working with a variety of modern risk mitigation related technologies including: cloud, DBR, backups
4. 2+ years’ experience with data analytics (scripting knowledge, database knowledge e.g. SQL)
5. Advanced skills in MS Office Suite (PPT, Excel, Word)

Nice-To-Have Skills:

1. Experience working with regulators (OSFI, Fed)
2. Experience from Financial Institutions (FIs)

Best VS. Average Candidate: Ideal candidate has broad technology experience to understand various types of data, as data is key to creating metrics. A varied skill set (i.e., with different types of technologies in must-have #3) will be an advantage; someone who is strong at data management and analysis, skilled at translating that data into metrics, and is strong at presenting those and making recommendations based on the defined metrics to senior stakeholders.

1. 2 rounds – MS Teams Video Interviews – 30 minutes each
2. 1st – with Hiring Manager – 30 minutes
3. 2nd – with Hiring Manager’s Director – 30 minutes
