Position Overview:

Compugen is seeking an IT Risk Management Specialist for a 6-month contract working remotely. Candidates must currently reside within Canada and be available to work CT.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Offer expert advice, design, and implementation plans for Information Technology risk management programs. This includes providing guidance on governance, risk, and compliance process designs and components, as well as developing, reviewing, and updating applicable policies and standards as agreed upon by the project sponsor.
2. Review and update the IT Risk and Compliance Management processes including governance and operational components.
3. Update the IT Process Governance Framework including its governance and operational components.
4. Design and deploy a repository for all IT governance and operational artifacts including document controls and any necessary integration.
5. Draft essential IT governance policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with COBIT 2019's best practices.
6. Develop and deliver training sessions.
7. Other deliverables as agreed between the project sponsor and the Consultant.

Skills & Qualifications:

Education:

1. University degree or two-year college diploma in Computer Science, Business, or similar discipline.
2. Completion of one or more of the following Information Security Management professional designations is preferred:
3. Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC)
4. Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
5. Other similar information security and IT risk management credentials.

Experience:

1. Seven years in the IT industry with four years direct technology risk and information security experience including conducting many Threat and Risk Assessments.

Technical Knowledge and Skills:

1. Strong technical, planning, and leadership skills are required.
2. Effective problem solving and decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment.
3. Knowledge in related IT and information security practices and risk measures.
4. Ability to assess and resolve complex issues and situations through effective decision making.
5. Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to relate to others with all levels of technical competency.

Must Haves:

1. Very good understanding of an IT organizational structure and processes.
2. Knowledge in IT and information security practices and risk measures.
3. Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to relate to others with all levels of technical competency.
4. Ability to assess and resolve complex issues and situations through effective decision making.
