We are actively seeking an experienced IT Operations and Compliance Manager to lead our IT compliance efforts, manage infrastructure, and oversee help desk operations. This key leadership role is instrumental in ensuring our IT systems and processes adhere to SOC 2 Type II and ISO/IEC 27001 standards, while also ensuring efficient and reliable IT services across the organization.

The IT Operations and Compliance Manager will be responsible for leading, mentoring, and developing the IT team, guiding their professional growth, and overseeing IT projects from initiation through to completion. In addition, this role will include:

• Supervising help desk and infrastructure operations: Ensuring smooth, secure, and efficient functioning of systems.
• Occasional hands-on support: While leadership is the primary focus, you will also step in during mission-critical situations to ensure quick problem resolution.
• Escalation management: Handling escalated issues, ensuring a focus on team performance and operational success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Compliance leadership: Overseeing and managing all compliance initiatives, ensuring strict adherence to SOC 2 Type II and ISO/IEC 27001 standards. This includes conducting audits, implementing controls, and meeting certification requirements.
• Team development: Mentoring the IT team, providing performance evaluations, and fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
• Project management: Ensuring IT projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget while aligning with overall business objectives.

We are looking for a proactive leader with deep expertise in SOC 2 Type II and ISO/IEC27001 compliance, capable of balancing strategic leadership with hands-on involvement when needed. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT operations and the ability to drive both technical success and team growth.

Qualifications:

Desired:

• Experience managing compliance with SOC 2 Type II and ISO/IEC 27001 standards.
• Ability to balance technical leadership with high-level strategic thinking.
• Proven experience mentoring and leading IT teams in a collaborative work environment.

Required:

• 15+ years of experience in IT operations, with at least 7+ years in a leadership role.
• Hands-on experience with SOC 2 Type II and ISO/IEC 27001 compliance frameworks.
• Strong project management skills, from planning to execution.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

Preferred Certifications:

• CISSP, CISM, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer, or PMP.
• Experience with cloud platforms like Azure or AWS.
• Azure certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate.
• Experience with security measures beyond basic compliance, such as Zero Trust Architecture or advanced encryption technologies.
