Job Title: Computer Network Technician

We are seeking a skilled Computer Network Technician to work with TEG BAINS SPECIALIST INC.

Job Summary

The Computer Network Technician will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and administering local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), mainframe networks, and computer workstations and peripheral equipment. The successful candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills and be able to provide top-notch support to our network users. Strong technical skills, including knowledge of computer hardware and networking software, are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities

1. Maintain and troubleshoot LANs, WANs, mainframe networks, and computer workstations and peripheral equipment
2. Evaluate and install computer hardware, networking software, and operating system software
3. Provide problem-solving services to network users
4. Implement data, software, and hardware security procedures
5. Perform routine network start-up and close-down and maintain control records
6. Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations
7. Set up local area networks and connections to the Internet
8. Implement network traffic and security monitoring software and optimize server performance
9. Respond to requests for help and information from Website visitors and Website designers
10. Perform Web-server backup and recovery operations

Requirements

1. College/CEGEP education
2. 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
