IT NETWORK SPECIALIST

Aversan Inc. (www.aversan.com) is a reputable Engineering Company that provides expertise in Systems Integration, Product Design/Development and Software/Product Testing for highly regulated industries including Digital Health, Medical Devices, IT and Aerospace. We are currently seeking a qualified IT Network Specialist to work on leading edge technology products. The successful candidate for this position will be a part of a highly motivated and technical work environment that feeds off the collective energy of a team-oriented workplace.

Location: St. Laurent, QC (On-site)

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Contribute to the upkeep of the network infrastructure and network services for the global enterprise.
2. Improve network solutions and related processes applicable to LAN, WAN, SDWAN.
3. Coordinate services and monitoring to prioritize and ensure high network availability and performance.
4. Contribute to the planning and support of network security as well as the administration of enterprise firewalls.
5. Support periodic operational activities such as enterprise disaster recovery planning and testing as well as ongoing improvement initiatives.
6. Network hardware physical installation, such as router, switch, etc.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

1. Bachelor’s in Computer Technology or equivalent with 3 years of experience in Networking.
2. Excellent knowledge of Palo Alto Firewalls, Layer 2/3 Switches.
3. Excellent Network skills with LAN, WAN and Core networks.
4. Experience with physical infrastructure planning is an asset (cabling, fiber vaults, etc.).
5. Palo Alto / Cisco Certifications are an asset.
6. Strong oral and written communication skills in English, French.
7. Autonomous – comfortable exercising independent judgment in performing job duties.
8. Ability to interface with IT users (IT administrators and customers) at all levels.
