IT - IT Engineer - Automation (Mid Level)

Position: IT Engineer - Automation

Location: Vancouver BC Canada

Duration: 7+ months

Education: Bachelor's degree in computer or electrical engineering, or related STEM Major

1. Experience with hypervisors (VMWare and ESXi) and Windows system administration
2. Experience with configuring and troubleshooting network appliances (network switches, firewalls)
3. Experience working in an industrial manufacturing OT environment
4. Cross-functional teamwork, coordination, and communication skills
5. Sound understanding of computer systems validation (CSV) in a regulated environment such as execution of FAT, SAT, IQ, OQ using good documentation practices (GDP)

Preferred experience:

1. Familiarity with Rockwell PlantPAx DCS systems

Tasks and Deliverables:

1. Perform commissioning and startup activities related to IT/OT systems ensuring connectivity and interoperability between SCADA, DCS, PLCs
2. Perform system testing, including preparation of documentation such as test reports and change controls
3. Serve as the primary onsite contact with the extended team for IT/OT related questions and concerns during commissioning and qualification phases
4. Coordinate with remote subject matter experts to troubleshoot and diagnose issues and generate potential solutions
