The Opportunity

This is a 6-month contract role, from May through October 2025.

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the IT Infrastructure & Security Specialist will work with a talented group of business stakeholders in a fast-paced and exciting environment. Their work will have a positive impact on the business through handling IT tickets, providing network support, contributing to cyber security initiatives, and providing in-office technical assistance.

Our new IT Infrastructure & Security Specialist will:

Deliver.

• Purchase and provision hardware and software, and maintain an up-to-date inventory of assets
• Manage licenses and access, following security procedures
• Collaborate with the Director, Software Development on cyber security compliance certifications, such as SOC 2 and NERC CIP
• Responsible for office IT, including fob system, ensuring office comfort and productivity (ex. Wi-Fi strength)
• Respond to internal help desk inquiries to assist in resolving issues on time, including but not limited to:
• o Troubleshoot systems and applications (both Mac and Windows)
• o Configure computer equipment for various roles with cloud/desktop applications

Report.

• Communicate status of information security programs and projects, as required
• Ensure compliance to policies, vulnerabilities, and threats and other metrics
• Conduct a monthly review of access controls
• Run spot checks of execution against information security policies
• Collaborate closely with HR to onboard and offboard employees in a timely fashion
• Provide support across departments and assist in problem solving processes
• Work with external vendors for troubleshooting purposes

What you will bring to Peak Power:

The experience and education. You have proven experience delivering success in a fast-paced, multi-tasking role where you are comfortable working autonomously.

• Bachelors or Certification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline.
• 4-5 years of related experience in IT and Security
• Knowledge on information security concepts and architecture (malware, virus, threats, confidentiality, and integrity)
• Experience implementing multi-factor authentication, single sign-on, identity management or related technologies
• Ability to prioritize and manage competing priorities with a strong attention to detail
• Experience with Azure, Microsoft Servers, and Microsoft Certifications/Credentials
• CISSP and/or CISM, preferred
