Pay Details: $65,600 - $98,400 CAD

Job Description:

The primary accountabilities for this position are:

  • Design, develop, and maintain Java applications using Spring Boot framework.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Identify and address application and data issues and cross-capability and cross-release issues that affect application integrity.
  • Conduct program/ system research, analysis, detailed design and problem resolution.
  • Optimize application performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
  • Adhere to standard security coding practices to ensure application is free of most common coding vulnerabilities.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to drive continuous improvement.
  • Must be a self-starter, demonstrated ability to take independent action to achieve results.

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years' Experience in Angular or React, Java/J2EE, RESTful APIs/webservices and Databases such as Oracle/SQL Server/Mongo.
  • Solid understanding of software development principles, design patterns, and best practices.
  • Proficient in Java programming language and related frameworks.
  • Familiarity with tools like Bitbucket/Git, CI/CD pipelines Eclipse, IntelliJ, JIRA, and Confluence.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to grasp and translate technical concepts, think independently, and take the initiative required to resolve issues in a team structure.
  • Self-motivated team player with high energy and ability to work independently as well as within a team.
  • A positive can-do attitude with openness to promoting knowledge sharing.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Contribution to open-source projects or technical blogs.
