IT Cybersecurity Analyst

Location: Office in Ancaster or Mississauga (100% Onsite)

Your Mission, Should You Choose to Accept It:
As our next IT Cybersecurity Analyst, you’ll be at the forefront of ensuring the security and compliance of Johnson Electric’s critical assets and networks. Your expertise in cybersecurity will be crucial in driving our success and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible.

What You’ll Be Doing:

1. Collaborate with a third-party Security Operations Center (SOC) team to achieve corporate security operational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
2. Perform regular security reviews and compliance checks for critical assets and networks.
3. Ensure compliance with security policies and standards.
4. Oversee global vulnerability assessments and patch deployments.
5. Achieve KPIs related to vulnerability management.
6. Develop security playbooks and threat hunting models in partnership with the outsourced SOC team.
7. Enhance proactive threat detection capabilities.
8. Conduct regular penetration scans to meet compliance requirements for both IT and OT networks.
9. Assist in maintaining compliance evidence.

What We’re Looking For:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Information Security or equivalent experience.
2. At least 5 years of experience in information security, with relevant technical or consulting background.
3. Strong knowledge of security tools such as Zscaler, Sophos, MDE, Proofpoint, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Qualys, or TrendMicro.

Bonus Points If You Have:

1. Advanced degree in Information Security.
2. Experience with OT security controls.
3. Knowledge of industry standards like ISO 27001, Tisax ISA 5.1, and NIST SP 800-82.
4. Certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, CEH, or GIAC.
5. Proficiency in Mandarin Chinese and English.
6. Ability to collaborate with security leads across Europe, the Americas, and Canada during their morning time zones weekly.
7. Willingness to travel or stay in China with a valid visa.
