IT Business Analyst

Spark Power, a trusted partner in energy in North America, is looking for an IT Business Analyst to join our Oakville team. Our team works closely with stakeholders to deliver high-quality and scalable solutions in software applications and business processes within the organization. The successful applicant will collaborate with teams across the organization to optimize applications and business processes supporting the organization's strategic objectives. Responsibilities include:

What will you do as the IT Business Analyst?

• Drive the collection and translation of business requirements into detailed system and technical requirements
• Facilitate progress on projects
• Contribute to the design for application enhancements
• Collaborate with various departments and operational teams
• Act as a key resource in SDLC and Project Life Cycle
• Maintain objectivity to ensure solutions align with business objectives
• Support in resolving tickets and application-related issues
• Raise and escalate issues with IT management and/or business process owners
• Make data-driven decisions and recommendations
• Develop and maintain documentation

Do you have the Spark? Here’s what we’re looking for:

• University or post-graduate education in a business or STEM discipline
• Additional certifications for continued education
• Minimum 5 years experience in Implementation consulting or Business Analyst role
• Ability to understand and refine business requirements
• Experience in NetSuite or other ERPs such as Oracle Cloud ERP, JDE, SAP S/4HANA
• Understanding of change management
• Experience in delivering business solutions in an agile environment
• Strong attention to detail and focus on quality
• Ability to manage deliverables across multiple projects
• Excellent communication skills
• Self-motivated with initiative and eagerness to learn
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Visio, Wireframing Tools
