What You’ll Do:
The primary responsibility of the IT Administrator is to ensure reliable, secure, and efficient operations of all information systems that support company operations. This position is responsible for having and applying specialized knowledge and professional judgment to investigate, analyze, design, build, and operate IT systems that drive business success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversees the administration and management of SpeedLine’s IT Infrastructure, including WAN connections, LAN infrastructure, telephone system, servers, workstations, and printers.
- Plans and directs the implementation of additions, deletions, and major modifications to the IT infrastructure.
- Manages and maintains network user accounts, access rights for all staff, and server installed applications.
- Maintains confidence of confidential information and shares only with those authorized.
- Drives automated management of servers and workstations for efficient operations.
- Trains new staff on IT systems as required.
- Provides technical advice to SpeedLine staff and sometimes customers.
- Ensures that all daily operations procedures are documented and kept current.
- Oversees the administration of the internal IT help desk and ensures that all interactions are logged and resolved in a timely manner.
- Keeps current with new security threats and maintains computer security, anti-virus, and spyware updates.
- Responsible for the design, implementation, and administration of data archiving and backups.
- Develops disaster recovery and contingency plans to ensure ongoing IT operations.
We are looking for someone who has:
- Preferably, a post-secondary degree, diploma, or certificate program in a related field.
- Current certifications or equivalent expertise.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced operating system, networking, and system support knowledge and experience.
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
- Ability to juggle multiple projects and react quickly to changing priorities.
- Available to work a flexible schedule, and have and maintain reliable transportation.
Salary Range:
$70,000 - $80,000 annually
Working Arrangements:
This position is an in-office position and requires on-site attendance five days per week.
