THE ROLE

As an IT Support Specialist, you provide first- and second- level hardware and software support to users. You will install, configure and troubleshoot point-of-sale stations, as well as perform updates and maintenance.

The IT Support Specialist will conduct installations, maintenance and troubleshooting of computer hardware and software, as well as conduct post-installation activities such as reviews, changes and maintenance of software. You will review hardware and software, recommending items for purchase. You will also ship and receive user systems for hands-on repairs. You will act as problem manager for new deployments of corporate applications, perform on-site reviews for remote systems, perform server backups and maintain the storage of backup media.

QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED

Education, Certifications and Licenses

College diploma or certificate in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field. Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) certification.

Experience

  • In maintaining and supporting the enterprise-wide software and telecommunications infrastructure
  • In systems analysis
  • In network, hardware and software management and support
  • In help desk support
  • In problem analysis and resolution
  • In application testing

Bilingual (English and French) Essential

This is an on-site position with an assigned work location. The selection will be done virtually. This position is a one year term.
